Once cut, the insides will cook at the same rate as the outsides and you cant avoid that horrible sulfur-y smell/taste that comes from cooking them too long. I'm saying 9 minutes max if you cook the bacon separately and then add in the flash steamed/dried off sprouts back in to caramelize. But they are really pungent, no getting around that I guess :)
